Fueling programs that change lives

The mission of the DPAO Foundation is to raise and steward resources that support the Disabled Persons Action Organization (DPAO) in providing services and empowering individuals with developmental disabilites, as well as their families, to live full, meaningful and independent lives throughout Jefferson and Lewis counties.

Our Impact

Fueling programs that change lives

Through fundraising, grant writing, and community support, the DPAO Foundation helps expand and enhance programs that serve individuals with developmental disabilities across Jefferson and Lewis Counties.

Supporting Essential Services

Funding enhancements to programs operated by DPAO, including day habilitation, respite, and employment supports.
Investing in Meaningful Improvements

Providing resources for updated spaces, equipment, and materials that improve daily experiences for program participants.
Strengthening Community Engagement

Transitioning to accessible, community-based events that bring people together while raising awareness and support.
Expanding Opportunities for Independence

Helping ensure individuals have access to services and experiences that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life.
